Academics
Woodbine Gardenia School believes that high academic standards are the foundation of good education. In keeping with our Mission statement, we provide a challenging academic environment to ensure superior intellectual understanding in our students. The academic curriculum is carefully designed to include theoretical instruction, practical experiments and activity-based learning.
Young Woodbiners have “mother teachers” to lovingly guide them in the early stages of learning. As children grow and studies become more complex and challenging, teachers use a combination of discipline and affection to help students ‘learn to learn’. For the senior students, teachers are instructors and mentors, helping their students to become independent learners.
Assessment of students is done in a manner that encourages every child to learn and grow. A panel of concerned teachers discusses the academic progress of each child and makes suggestions for improvement. Remedial classes are offered for students struggling with academics in order to bring them to the level of their peer group. High achievers are rewarded with certificates and prizes.
The value of our commitment to academic excellence can be seen in our outstanding results and in the accomplishments and confidence of our students.
